Consider approval of the amendment of Resolution 2001-01 (Permits to Work in Dedicated Maricopa County Right-of-Way) to comply with recently enacted Arizona House Bill 2365 (HB 2365). House Bill 2365 (HB 2365) passed during the 2017 Arizona Legislative Session and became effective August 9, 2017. It requires the County to establish rates, fees, and terms for; the installation, modification, or replacement by a wireless provider of a utility pole located in a right-of-way; the collocation of a small wireless facility in a right-of-way; and the collocation of a small wireless facility on a county utility pole. This issue was discussed at the September12th community meeting with Gerard (P&D) and Brady (Env McDOT). Resource posted to Facebook.

Applicant, Andy Nuessle, of Synergy Construction, on behalf of the owner, Stepping Stones Academy, Inc., seeks removal of SUP Z2000128 for a charter school located in the Rural-43 zoning district. When first established in 2000, the existing charter school required SUP approval; however, text amendment TA2014006, approved by the Board of Supervisors on October 8, 2014, removed the restriction that charter schools required SUP approval and made them by-right uses in the Rural-43 zoning district. Therefore, SUP approval is no longer needed for the subject charter school.

Trail Work in New River - Volunteers Needed.

Starting Location: Andy Kunasek Trailhead at Spear S Ranch located at the intersection of New River Rd and E. Linda Lane, New River.
Description: Each volunteer must have the ability to walk on uneven ground and with some possible short steep trails sections, hike several miles carrying a tool as needed and perform light to medium level of physical work. No previous experience is necessary. The trained Certified Crew Leaders will provide training.. The Deer Valley Unified School District kindergarten registration for the 2018-2019 school year begins November 1, 2017. Students need to be 5 years old by August 31, 2018. ADOT publishes Tentative Long-Range Transportation Plan
Public invited to comment on plans for bridges, highways out to 2040ADOT’s Tentative Long-Range Transportation Plan, which is required to be updated every five years, is available for comment through Dec. 21 and can be reviewed at azdot.gov/WhatMovesYouArizona. First Aid Training presented by Daisy Mountain Fire Department

These Community and Workplace classes utilize the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) curriculum and certified instructors. Satisfactory completion of the course entitles students to a certificate valid for two years from date of completion. Registration is required. Space is limited. The cost is $25 per student, per class, due at the start of class, payable with exact change or check made payable to Daisy Mountain Fire Department.
